Another fascinating project involved designing a mountain bike brake lever that could articulate in both directions. This request came from Hayes Brake, aiming to create a lever that would be more resilient to impacts while also being easier to handle. The goal was to enhance the lever’s elasticity and manageability. By integrating the twisting capability of the brake block, we were able to develop a product that was entirely ergonomic and virtually indestructible. The effectiveness and innovative design of this brake lever can be clearly observed in the accompanying photos.
